There are 5 Steps you need to take to get rich. This book holds your hand through those 5 steps. Once you are shown the path, you are free to make as much, or as little money as you want. I recommend as much or more!
The 5 Steps are:
JOB
DIRECT MARKETING
REAL ESTATE
STOCKS
ON-LINE BUSINESS
“But why does Job come first?”
“That’s the cycle of life baby!”
Most of us are not born with silver spoons in our mouth, our hands or even on our tables. So the majority of us are going to have to get a JOB at some point in our lives.
To me, it doesn’t really matter what kind of JOB you have, so long as it allows you to do too things.
First, you have to be able to pay your bills, on time and as they come in. This includes all of the little stuff that you never remember to include in your budget, like health insurance and birthdays.
Second, you have to make enough to save, so that you can invest in yourself, your businesses and your future.
Look, we all want to be rich. But the bottom line is this. It takes effort and disipline to get rich, but once you make the start, it becomes easy.
Since you are going to pay your bills, PAY YOURSELF FIRST.
That’s right, you are bill collector number one and you need to get what you are owed. Ten percent straight out of your JOB check and into an account that you will not touch. That’s for investments. That’s for savings. It’s not for vacations or fun or even emergencies. It’s for getting rich.
“But what if I have an emergency?”
That’s why you have a JOB, so keep your liabilities (bills) low so you can create several accounts. Put aside another 5% for emergencies, or a vacation or a flat screen plasma screen television. You get the idea.
Once you pay yourself first, you can follow along the rest of the steps to reach your goals. One of the things you can do is FIND A MENTOR.
When I first started out, I didn’t know any millionaires. In fact, everyone in my family couldn’t even conceive of anything other than a safe, small normal life. That kind of life wasn’t for me, I felt I was destined for bigger things, even if was only being so filthy rich that I could help support all of the clubs and organizations that made growing up dirt poor tolerable. (GENEROSITY: Learn it, live it, love it.)
I found my MENTORS in books, and biographies. I studied rich men and learned what they did. I took notes and made goals based on my mentor’s attitudes, and thinking like a millionaire became a habit.
I learned the SECRETS about abundance and positive mental attitude. And once I started applying these attitudes to my work, and my life, millionaires starting showing up.
When I first began in real estate, someone told me, “Don’t worry about the money, find the deal. If you find a good deal, then money will find you.”
Well I always wondered why the universe worked that way. Why is it, when you don’t need money, people with money will show up to give it to you?
Except it doesn’t quite work out like that, because once you learn how to create money (and yes, you can create it out of thin air and nothing) then you will discover that you need more of it to make bigger and better deals.
Money will come to you because you’ve shown that you respect it, by replicating it and nurturing money to make it grow.
I now, it sounds weird, but think of money like little trees. You plant your little dollar bills, and watch them and tend to them and soon, those little dollar bills will grow into grown up one hundred dollar bills. And when you sow those one hundred dollar bills, and nuture and tend to them, they will grow into strong healthy one thousand dollar bills. And that’s how you plant a millionaire’s garden!
But wait! Don’t stuff your money into the ground!
You have to plant your money in investments! And your very first investment is you.
So get a JOB to afford a lifestyle at something above poverty level, buy books, classes and seminars to learn. And then take the NEXT MOST IMPORTANT STEP.
